Paul Lee in Concert, Sunday, January 16, 4:00 p.m. Saint Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral in Shreveport. The cathedral is located at the corner of Kings Highway and Rutherford Street. Paul Lee is performing in Shreveport for the first time. The Mississippi native has been heard on National Public Radio and has been featured in concerts and conventions of the American Guild of Organists for over thirty years. |

James (Jimmy) Culp will share some of his techniques for a well-played service. This will be an informal sit-around-the-console afternoon with Jimmy and all are welcome. He will play the 70-rank Aeolian-Skinner many of us love to hear and he will pass along some of his registration techniques learned from Roy Perry. |

Concert Organist, Tom Trenney, will play an evening of great organ favorites and accompany Silent Movies from the early 1900s. See Silent Movies as they were meant to be seen.

Ron Dean will host the North Louisiana Chapter A.G.O. Ron has done research on the history of organs in the Shreveport area and will give a presentation to us on the subject while showing us the historic E.M. Skinner organ at Holy Cross. There will also be time for a Holy Cross organ crawl. Afterwards, those who would like to do so will adjourn to a restaurant for lunch together. |

Please make plans to attend our meeting on February 22nd at 6:00 p.m. We will begin with a catered dinner in the parlor below the chapel at First United Methodist Church of Shreveport. The wonderful dinner will cost $10 per person and feature.
It is very important that we RSVP to this event no later than noon on Friday, February 12. Please reply to this em ail or call me to RSVP. If you can do this before Monday, February 8, then we won’t have to personally call every member (which we will be doing if we don't hear from you). We will have special guest, Dr. Michael Bedford with us. Dr. Bedford is our Regional Councillor and lives in Tulsa, OK. Since he is making this trip to be with us, we especially need to be there, and invite friends!! The program will feature local organists David Sherman and E. Ray Peebles. They will be talking about and playing music from their experiences on the French and English Organ Seminars. It will be a beautiful program and will make us all want to go to Europe!! |

"Sharing Repertoire and Technique" - A program of sharing repertoire and skills. Come with some interesting organ piece you want to share, or a hymn or anthem with which you want to share service playing skills.
Even if you don't wish to do any playing yourself, come and listen, and see how St. Joseph's Church was converted from a virtually dead acoustical environment into a very live one.
